Diederik Moers is the manager of the Asset Condition & Control team (ACC), within the Asset Management department at Elia. ACC is responsible for two activities: Firstly for the collection, tooling and reporting of data that enables condition based asset management, and secondly for the tooling, processes and partial execution of remote maintenance activities. As manager of the ACC, he’s with his team accountable for the development (IT and tools), implementation (processes) and exploitation (reporting and 1st line analysis of acquired data) of the ACC.
He started his career in 2003 at the Fault Analytics department of Elia and switched in 2008 to the Secondary Systems department for Technical Governance and eXpertise (SecSys TGX) as Secondary Systems Expert. His main activities are focused in the area of Protection & Control, Substation Automation IEC61850, Fault Recording, Power Quality and laboratory testing. He is also a member of the ENTSO-E Ad-Hoc Group IEC61850 and the Cigré Working Group B5.50. He received a M.Sc-B.Sc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (Leuven, Belgium) and a B.Eng in Process Automation (Geel, Belgium).
