Description
As the Belgian electricity transmission system operator, Elia is continuously improving its asset management strategies in order to cope with the changes in the environmental, legal, financial and technological landscape.
One of the enablers is the choice to speed up the evolution from classical time based asset management to condition based asset management, making use of the digitalization trend.
This presentation focusses on the implementation of Elia’s Asset Condition & Control (ACC), who is the referential for offline and online dynamic data to calculate an equivalent age based on the physical condition of an asset, supporting the daily decision making of the Asset Manager. The implementation will be demonstrated through an example from the midlife refurbishment policy from a subpopulation of the power transformer fleet.
